Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Kham was naturally drawn to the field because dentistry lets him experience several of his passions all at once. It’s a combination of art and science, requiring him to be an engineer, doctor, educator, and confidant. Balancing these different roles while customizing a patient’s care is always interesting, and for over 20 years, he couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Kham earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, which is recognized as a leading center of dental education and research. It is also one of only three Ivy League Universities in the United States offering dental medicine programs. He then completed his residency at highly acclaimed institutions, including the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Einstein Hospital Medical Center. His clinical training includes maxillofacial prosthesis, advanced general dentistry, and several courses at Spear Education.

Dr. Kham is a firm believer in prevention-focused, patient-centered dental care. He treats patients in the way he himself wants to be treated, always giving close personal attention to the individual. Dr. Kham believes that building a long-lasting patient-doctor relationship based on trust and mutual responsibility is very important to achieve the highest level of dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he’s not at the office, you’ll almost always find Dr. Kham spending time with his kids, ideally traveling and having new experiences together.
