Cutting Edge Technology That Truly Makes a Difference

Technology continues to become more integral to dental healthcare every year—which is why we’ve made sure our office has everything it needs to assist your smile in every way. From our iTero digital impression system, which facilitates accurate treatment planning, to our Gemini soft tissue laser, which lets us tend to gum disease with the utmost ease, we have the means to make your treatment more comfortable, precise, and efficient. Here’s a little more about just some of the many instruments and forms of technology Dr. Kham and our team will use to protect your dental health and help your smile thrive.

Digital Impressions

We’re excited to have the iTero digital impression system here at our office! This state-of-the-art technology can greatly enhance patient comfort, not to mention, improve treatment precision. With iTero, there’s no need for messy, uncomfortable impression trays, as the advanced scanner creates a highly accurate 3D digital model of your teeth in just minutes. These images can then be used to help plan all kinds of treatments, whether for crowns, bridges, or even dental implants.

Soft Tissue Laser

Our Gemini soft tissue laser allows us to perform a variety of treatments with greater precision, comfort, and efficiency. This instrument uses a small, focused beam of light energy to gently reshape gum tissue, remove bacteria, and promote faster healing with very minimal discomfort, making treatments like gum recontouring or laser periodontal treatment far simpler. This also means that our patients benefit from less bleeding, reduced swelling, and quicker recovery times!

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

We use our Dexis CT/cone beam scanner to provide highly detailed 3D images of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. Unlike traditional X-rays, this sophisticated technology captures a complete view of your whole oral and facial anatomy in just seconds, giving us precise information for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Whether we’re planning dental implants or assessing jaw and oral health, this instrument is just one additional way we can improve your overall patient experience.

Digital Cavity Detection

Our CariView digital cavity detection system helps Dr. Kham identify tooth decay earlier and more accurately than ever before. This advanced technology uses safe, non-invasive light to scan the teeth and highlight areas where cavities may be developing—even before they can be seen with the naked eye or with traditional X-rays. Early detection means we can address issues sooner with simpler, more conservative treatments, which is always one of our goals when tending to your smile.

Electric Handpieces

Our practice uses state-of-the-art electric handpieces that deliver a quieter, smoother, and more efficient dental experience. Unlike traditional air-driven tools, these instruments provide greater precision and power, allowing treatments to be completed more comfortably and in far less time. Think of it like the difference between a gas-powered car and an electric vehicle; you’ll immediately notice and appreciate the difference.

SprintRay Midas 3D Printer

Our office is also equipped with cutting-edge SprintRay 3D printing and in-house milling technology, allowing us to create custom oral appliances and restorations like crowns right here under our roof. The ability to design and produce high-quality restorations is truly remarkable, especially in the case of an emergency.
